Moving towards independence
Most people reach a point where they are tired of their drug-using lifestyle and want to move towards a life which doesn’t involve drugs. Deciding to detox is a very important stage of the journey towards independence from opiates but many people find that they cannot stay drug-free without making big changes to their life and without support from treatment services or family and friends. Going to Rehab or finding new educational or work opportunities may help some people to keep moving forwards along the journey.
Opizone (naltrexone) helps in preventing relapse while these big changes are taking place. It should only be seen as part of a package of care aimed at getting you to the point where you don't use drugs any more.
Remember: Opizone is not the magic answer to opiate dependence. You may well still crave drugs and wish to use them after you have successfully detoxed and started taking Opizone.
